About Us

Danielle O’Shay:

Complete bibliophile (obviously) with an intense love for nature; the woods, the sea, the mountains, all of which inspire my writing.  I don’t know where I would be without words, they are how I express myself, how I amuse myself, and how I hope to inspire others.  They are my anchor and my lifeline.  My doorways to impossible worlds.

I am a complete Tolkien nerd, Marvel-fan, fantasy connoisseur, classic-author admirer, and history lover.  I have too many books and not enough shelves, a lot of animal sidekicks, and about three half-finished notebooks, 10x that with in-progress stories, and I believe the pen is mightier than the sword (though I completely wouldn’t object to having a sword…)

One of my long-term goals is to travel the world as a photojournalist, to people’s stories through both photographs and writing.  I believe everyone has a story to tell, whether it be big or little, and all are equally important.  It is my dream to be the voice of the people who have none.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

A.J Reeves here:

A reader since the beginning and writer a little bit later. I love the written word and its ability to transform and create. I love the magic that it captures, be it the idea of a fantastical, fire-breathing lizard or the magic of a sweet moment between father and daughter.  Books are an escapism for me, a place to go not to avoid the real world but instead to be faced with new tests and new questions…and also to avoid the dishes, but that’s beside the point. I want to read to be challenged and provoked.

I am a Trekkie, and a Whovian.

Tolkien is my master of Fantasy, I love the Supernatural family, Asimov my lord of Sci-Fi, Wilde the commander of wit.

One Punch Man sets me off into hysterical giggles, and Castlevania left me literally dying for more at only four episodes, but now we have a new season though still dying. (Richard Armitage has the sexiest voice.)

Marvel stands at the top, with more than enough content to keep me ridiculously entertained till I dry away to dust. Captain America is my darling man of justice and truth, “I can feel the righteousness surging”.

DC follows next, with movies that are flagging (except: Wonder Woman, yeah!), but comics that are both insightful, dark, and poignant. (The Joker is my villain. Scary psychopathic creep.)

I know all the words to the songs from Galvant, hilarious show by the way. And I play them way too loud in my car when I drive. The Disney songs are little better, and I still sing them with all my heart. (Eugene Fitzherbert, my charming thief). Literary men are way too attractive, and I really shouldn’t love them as much as I do.

I super believe in you, Tad Cooper
